The evolution of mechanical properties of AAM conditions its potential use for concrete applications. In particular, the compressive and tensile strength, elastic modulus, and creep behaviour must be carefully measured since the earliest age in order to provide an accurate overview of the structural behaviour of AAM-based concrete.

Multiscale evaluation of the mechanical behaviour of AAM concrete

  • Setting process at the binder, mortar and concrete scale
  • Nano and micromechanical properties
  • Evolution of the elastic properties
  • Creep behaviour from the earliest age
  • Failure properties
